We were fortunate to have a very special visitor witness the positive impact Collier School has on our students on Friday, December 7th. State Senator Joseph Cryan, of New Jersey’s 20th Legislative district, sat down to a roundtable discussion with key administrative staff and students.  They discussed topics such as what life was like prior to Collier—upon which one student responded “Collier literally saved my life. I was on the verge of killing myself, but Collier helped me turn things around”—to which clubs they enjoyed the most.

Afterward, Senator Cryan toured the High School and Middle School taking time from his busy schedule to ensure that he spoke with everyone who stopped by to introduce themselves. "We were thrilled to have Senator Cryan visit Collier School. He met with almost every student and learned first-hand the tremendous impact Collier has had on them,” stated Collier High School Principal, Tom Normile. He continued, “We look forward to having him come back and follow their progress as well as any partnerships that may develop."
